Cain Ireh Releases “GammaDecay” Under Never Tasted June
Cain Ireh has released “GammaDecay”, a new track under the Never Tasted June brand.
Blending synthwave, dark ambient, and darksynth, the track sits in a bleak, cinematic world of distorted signals, survival imagery, and post-collapse atmosphere. The artist describes it as a “real-human project”, with Cain Ireh handling the song idea, concept, lyrics, lead vocals, backing vocals, performance, visual direction, and editing.
I mixed and mastered the track here in Australia, and it was a fascinating project to work on. The whole piece has a strong visual identity built into it - not just through the official visual, but through the sound and writing as well. The spoken word sections, dark electronic textures, and vocal performances all work together to create something that feels very deliberate and immersive.
The track was also inspired by the atmospheric work of Jens Kiilstofte / Machinimasound, with additional composition development and arrangement by Beqa Minadze in Georgia.
For anyone into darker electronic music, cyberpunk-inspired visuals, or cinematic synth-based production, this is well worth checking out. The artist also recommends listening with headphones for the best experience, which definitely makes sense for a track built around atmosphere, space, and detail.
You can watch the official visual for “GammaDecay” now on YouTube.
If you’re working on a dark electronic, cinematic, synthwave, darkwave, or experimental release and need mixing or mastering, feel free to get in touch. I’d be happy to have a listen.
