.sym Releases New Electronic EP ‘nothing’ on HeadDesk Records
.sym’s new EP nothing is out now via HeadDesk Records.
I mastered this three-track electronic release, featuring the tracks Stay, Never, and This Time, and it's a seriously impressive record.
.sym has created an EP that feels incredibly considered from start to finish. The production is slick, detailed, atmospheric, and immersive, but still full of feeling. There’s a strong sense of identity spanning the release, with each track sitting in its own space while still feeling connected as part of the same world.
For mastering, the focus was on supporting that world: keeping the low end controlled, preserving the detail and atmosphere, and making sure the EP translated consistently from track to track.
I'm really proud to have played a small part in helping bring this one over the line.
